i have this feeling.
it's that feeling.
ive talked about it before...it's that post exam feeling!!
right now i feel like dancing, or even cheering! like one of those cheers where you do a front kick to eye-level and clap both hands under that performing leg.
THAT'S WHAT IM TALKIN BOUT!!
so that leaves me with one more final - come monday.
NUTRITION!!!
(voila)

and once that's done, that rounds out my 3rd year of university. in addition, that also rounds out everything that i have to take, kinesiology-related, in order to graduate!
in other words...im in an honours kinesiology program...and...therefore, i say...
IM DONE THE CORE!!!
all this man needs now, are those electives...but that doesnt matter..cause the fact of the matter is...
IM DONE THE CORE!!!
let's review my accomplishments. not for your sake..but for my sake..cause shit, you gotta appreciate everything youve done, right? and besides...i represent nicely (more ego-trippin)!
so here's what i've racked up over the years:
kine
1000: foundations of kinesiology and health science
1020: fitness assessment and training
2000: psychology of physical activity and sport
2020: intro to health
2049: research methods in kinesiology
2050: analysis of data in kinesiology (stats)
2031: human anatomy
3011: human physiology I
3012: human physiology II
3030: biomechanical analysis of human movement
3020: skilled performance and motor learning
4010: physiology of exercise
4020: human nutrition I
siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiickkkkkkkk!!!
"had a rough week, it got beat by passion!"
(wooooo)
ahh yes...my passion...
KINESIOLOGY!..not naked men, foo!!
[believe it or not, da vinci was a forefather of kinesiology.
NOW STOP STARING AT THE FORESKIN!]
it's also a bittersweet feeling too as i enter 4th year. ya see, alot of my forth year peers are moving on to bigger and better things..whether it be graduate skool, establishing their careers or simply travelling, im probably not gonna see these folks as often or ever again [knock on wood]. theyve been thru what ive been thru..so i tip my hat off to them in addition to highly respecting and admiring their efforts.
geez, i sound like a fucking beauty pageant winner. i should shuddup.
[i wish my teeth were whiter than white.
damn coffee.]
but not before i restate...
im happy. so happy!!
i must say, whatta good day. and what makes it even better is the fact that i was just about to continue looking for summer employment.
but you may ask.."how does that make it better?"...
it's cause an agency (one that im part of but forgot about) called me today - right when i came home!
"mr. de los Reyes, we'd like to update your information as we have upcoming positions for you in the next few days/weeks...blah blah...so youll be available after monday?...great. we look forward to meeting with you."
right when i got home! dope is what i think. but imma try and actually find and do some work related to my field (academically) and hence, build on my career and network. but hey, if work is there, work shall be done..and dollars must be made as a means for bills to be paid!
one more thing...
GO LEAFS GO!
they better kill philly...and then after that...montreal..and then after that...whoever..but the main thing is....let's bring lord stanley's cup back home!!!!
GO LEAFS GO!
(im a band-wagon jumping canadian, dont mind me)
[if i had that...id personally drink kool aid and avocado milkshakes out the ma'fucka]
and now, a well-deserved nap (considering i only slept for 2 hours last nite).
peace.
P.S. that was the hardest year (and will be,of all 4)!
it's ironic (a term commonly misused and overused..but in my case, rightfully used) though: you'd think that the hardest year would be the least enjoyable - in reality, however, i excelled and obtained the highest level self-fulfillment and value through every course ive taken this term.
someone from york's kinesiology faculty should really quote my words and use them for those brochures targeted towards prospective students (considering the bad rep we have, as is...it'd be refreshing hearing it from the almighty jay's mouth, dont you agree?).
