a macedonian-chinese beauty leaves your life?

you keep watching zed of course!

the new season of zed will start soon. in the meantime and to halt this waiting and questioning of the show's well-being, i'd like to provide the head's up that a segment of the "best of zed' will be airing this tuesday (nov. 29) at 11:25pm (according to where you are in canada or elsewhere in the universe via satellite).

but back to the macedonian-chinese thing...ziya tong, from my own personal deductive reasoning has left the show and moved on to bigger and better things (although she didn't have to go to the islands to find me - the island golden boy..i'm right here in t.o., ziya, duh!).

was she bigger than the show? probably.
she is the one who caught my attention that one night last year or two years ago and had me even consider watching the show. after that, the documentaries and live performances themselves had me hooked.

will i continue to watch the show? of course.
it's one of canada's hidden gems. canada's best showcased for the world andshowcasing the world's best (and unknowns on top of that).

whatever the case, after i hand in this assignment and have some well-deserved celebratory beverages with my peers, im catching the late bus home just in time to catch this long awaited show to come back.

i'm talking shorts of course. and longs. but mainly shorts...and i don't mean danny deVito or webster; i mean films.

hopefully, we'll see ziya grace our screens again. hopefully.

ATTENTION: likewise, i should let you all know, that i'm 100% sure that "gotmilkfart?" (yes, this blog) will be closing by the end of the year (that's 1 month, y'all!). details later....

fuck man..back to work. this break is history.

d is for downhill

d is for d'angelo

d'angelo went downhill since i last saw him back in 2001 or so. i remember d - he was ripped. the girls wanted him and dudes wish they were him. i miss his music. last i heard he was in the studio putting together another release for now. more recently, d survived an ugly car crash. thank God he made it through that with mere cuts and scrapes.

d is for digestion
2 beers, a steak sandwich and a beer for after. then head to club and have a beer. all within a 2 hour span. fucking disgusting. and since when has it been customary for me to drink AND eat? i'm more and more european everyday. however, i found it more fun hanging out with my coworkers for dinner tonight that with my boys later on at the club...not so much because my boys suck..'cause you know you don't. just because the club sucked.

d is for the desolation on the dance floor
...maybe i've outgrown the scene. we've exhausted all facets. it's as old and tired as the rave scene when we played it out back in grade 11. the asian club scene - i can't do anymore because everyone wants to kill each other and all asian guys in clubs swear theyre gangsters on top of thinking that someone's gonna kidnap their girlfriends (buddy, your girl looks like a horse water buffalo!! im not that drunk). the latin club scene is mediocre at best. i can't do the 'i just turned 19' scene because everyone's so desperate - guys and girls. we're currently into (if you can even say 'into') the mid-late 20's scene because the crowd is a bit more mature and sophisticated (i really hate any environment with doo-rags) honest) on top of playing really good old school/new jack/house sets. i think the next transition will be into more of the lounge scene. that seems like the next step/level to be graduated into. who knows? maybe i can't even afford this anymore.

other than that...it was a good night and day.
i took the day off tomorrow (technically "today") so i'll have 2 whole days to finish up this assignment. for now, im gonna throw my jogging pants on, scratch my itch and fall asleep.

in closing, i can't even date young girls anymore because i dont think i can keep up. it's 2am - i should've been to bed 4 hours ago.

d is for damn.

PLATINUM PIED PIPERS
triple P
released fall 2005 on ubiquity
jay's rating:
*****

i heard about them on okayplayer but paid them no heed. i was at the record store the other day and told myself i had to absolutely buy a new album. whenever i say that, i find myself perusing the hip hop and electronic sections of the store - for a good 40 minutes when im alone, too, i might add.

luckily, nothing caught my attention that i couldn't easily download. luckily, i ventured into the r&b/soul section. i found this wonderful cd called "triple p" by the platinum pied pipers.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE GUYS.

as of late, i've been on this whole soulful, groove tip (see albums below that are heavily rotated).
i like good sounds and production. i like to hear things that are different; things that haven't been done.
as far as im concerned, show me your skills and i'll pay for your cd.

heavily rotated

i'll remind you, i never heard anything from them - not 1 song; not even an amazon 10 second sample; nothing.
but i had to get it for some reason. my gut instinct told me to get it. i got it.

i took it home and i haven't stopped listening to it since then. i hate to say it but this album is in contention for my best of 2005 list - right up there beside common's Be and nicolay's city lights - a list which i'll post next month (sometime before new years but after exams when i have the time).

if you like dwele, you'll like this. and if you liked the sound and feel of jazzy jeff's 'the magnificent' LP, then you'll have no problem getting into this. production on this is nuts!

detroit has what you need.
in the past it's been nyc and philly for me..but im slowly getting into detroit. detroit has been slept on for too long - believe me.

here's where you can start. thereafter, you can dive deeper and check out detroit's dwele, slum village, jay dee/jay dilla. you might even wanna check out some detroit techno. just stay away from D-12 if you can. what the heck, i love him, but stay away from eminem too, while youre at it (for now).

:: 6 degrees of separation::
one half of the platinum pied pipers - wajeed is a founding member of slum village. slum village is dope. slum village did a track called "tainted" featuring dwele. dwele is dope. dwele on his 'subject' LP had production by j-dilla aka jay dee. jay dee, aside from helping with production on 'Be', is currently common's housemate in los angeles (no, it's not a gay thing). jay dee also helped on spacek's new album (that was bonus for you, rj). all of this shit is the future!

if you like soul music and if you wanted some new soul with hip hop elements or rather, hip hop with a twist of soul, then BUY this album. do not sleep.

in brief terms, this cd will make you wanna throw on a leather jacket and cruise for the nite. shoot, you can even just chill with your lady listnening to this. you can even sleep to this. do whatever you want, just get off your computer and get it now.

[they're the truth!]

today i must do an assignment the whole day. my objective is to plan and implement a physical activity initiative. i have an alotted $5000 to go through with my plan. i can target children, youth, adults or seniors. it can be in the workplace, school or as a community at large. i've had the whole semester to think about this assignment and i have. too bad i couldnt actually start it earlier though.

it's due on tuesday.

do you know how hard it is to plan this thing??? probably not.

anyhow, yesterday the lease for my mom's subaru impreza went up. it's back at the dealer and being held until monday. until that time, we can either purchase it or lease a new car -- whether it be another subaru or a ferrari. most likely a subaru though. when we first got that car 4 years ago, i was the one who convinced my mom to get a subaru - especially for the icy conditions here in canada; that baby hugs the road. AWD + kick is all you need.

i dont know if we can budget another subaru to be honest, but my mom is in love with the brand. i've created a motherly-loving monster here! tune in next week to see what goes down.

random things & time wasting

im in the parking structure 2 computer lab. william small, i believe it's called. i've been on break since 1130 and i've done squat.
here are some random observations and comments:

  • computer games are bad
dude directly in front of me is playing some kind of epic game that includes a swordsman, some villagers and a whole lot of time wasting. he's like me with the wasted time except he is actually getting somewhere (in a video game)

  • laptops shouldn't have gone on sale
everyone has a freakin' laptop on campus. not that i care but i just think it should be pointed out that we're in a time period we're everyone is switching over from pen and pad to keyboard. if i can recall, some of the most important inventions of our time include the printing press, the telephone and the internet (to name a few). meanwhile, everyone's buying into the internet and computers are an alarming rate. this means faster computers are becoming cheaper and more and more computers are becoming outdated at an alarming rate. my point? there is none. it just irks me that fools with laptops during lecture are either listening to mp3s or playing solitaire. wtf dude, wtf!

  • i don't learn
i should've eaten a slice of toast with nutella; even a bowl of oatmeal would've been much better. 6 hours prior to now, i ate a bowl of cereal...WITH COW'S MILK. as stated before, me and dairy don't mix. my stomach is squeeling and cringing. aside from that, i passed up running my mile today to eat a footlong sub. who does that? i guess i'll just have to workout after class around 530pm. stupid (lazy) jay.

  • things are becoming way too routine
other than sundays where it's church - work - study - sleep,my daily dilly is the same ol' same ol'. basically wake up,- go to school - learn - hit the gym - eat - come home - study - sleep -next day: repeat. same ol' same ol'. then again, i broke today's schedule - i sub'd a sandwich instead of running. i shouldn't be so quick to judge.

  • it's getting cold again
i was born and raised in southern ontario, canada. i have circled the sun for 23 years now. my experience here is that it's getting colder. snow is nice; the experience of 4 seasons is grand. but i hate the winter. my tropical ass wasn't designed for this. you heard it here first: it's almost official - once i get the chance, im moving to a warmer place where i'll make love to my wife, raise some kids, make more love to my wife, work my career till retirement, hopefully continue with the love making and then move to another place where i'll retire. it's not even a nice cold anymore -- it's more of a 'cold down to your bone marrow' kind of cold.

  • i make good playlists
i always love crate-diggers/diggin'. it's a culture in itself. coming back from the jamiroquai concert a few weeks ago, i was amazed by the live set of old funk, soul and jazz records he played before spinning the current (copyright-obtained) versions/samples of songs. here's my own playlist you might wanna taste (recognize any sounds?):

    crate diggin
    rise - herb albert
right on for the darkness - curtis mayfield
the i.n.c. ride - masta ace
for the love of you - the isley brothers
footsteps in the dark - the isley brothers
it was a good day - ice cube
    i got a love - pete rock & c.l. smooth
ain't got the love - the ambassadors
more, more, more - andrea true
school boy crush - average white band
tighten up - archie bell & the drells
where i'm from - digable planets
    think twice - donald byrd
me, myself and i - de la soul
    rapper dapper - edwin birdsong
i forgot to be your lover - william bell
worst comes to worst - dilated peoples
move on up - curtis mayfield
touch the sky - kanye west
be real black for me - roberta flack & donny hathaway
yearning for your love - gap band
impeach the president - honey dippers
    our generation - ernie hines
straighten it out - pete rock & c.l. smooth
magnificent sanctuary band - donny hathaway
the black five - roy ayers
everybody loves the sunshine - roy ayers
summer madness - kool and the gang
feel like making love - roberta flack
    spinnin' - bernard wright
i love you more - george duke
    digital love - daft punk
ring ring ring - de la soul
help is on the way - whatnauts
    chic cheer - chic
    root down - jimmy smith
you know how we do it - ice cube
the show is over - evelyn "champagne" king feat. dexter wansel

that's 40 songs deep, and i didn't even list them all!!!

remember we were talking about how dope it would look if an iBook came in black? or if an iPod came in black?

well eventually, i guess others felt the same way; the end result is the black nano and the black video iPod generation that we're currently in. pretty cool shit.

    but what about the iBook?
my iBook is lovely. she gets me off just fine. JUST FINE.

it's the olsen twins. i hate the olsen twins. ok, i dont hate them, i just can't find them attractive. i remember back in the days when we would watch full house and i'd see them as babies. i've been conditioned..i can't get seeing them as babies out of my head. a decade and some later, these twins are all rich and grown up and complete with eating disorders like everyone else in LA-LA land. although i don't find them attractive, i can't stop looking at this picture. what's wrong with me?!!

my penis won't let me stop looking, that's what's wrong with me.

there's a pair of breasts, 2 pairs actually, and he has a gun to my head basically saying, "hey man...look at those knockers, or i'll have your brains on the sidewalk (or bedroom wall in my case)".

i bet they do a lot of coke. i tend to equate big star to coke-abuse..i mean recreational coke to put it more eupehemistically.

speaking of stars, y'all better catch letterman tonite (check those local listings) because pharrell williams is a guest.
did i tell you that pharrell story of mine? it's very personal...ok, here we go, the pharrel incident.

    the pharrell incident
two or three summers ago, my boys and i went to the n.e.r.d. concert. spymob opened for them and provided the remaining backround instrumentals. they were gold. pharrell was ok. the crowd was mostly kids but there was alcohol available to me so it wasnt that bad. chad hugo - the filipino half of the neptunes wasn't there so myself and rj (especially rj) were kind of disappointed.

because of my disappointment and my bositerous kind of way, i kept shouting over the crowd. these were all jokingly of course. these included important phrases such as:
    "where's chad, pharrell?!"

"i want chad here. he's filipino, so am i!"

"i paid $40 dollars for this concert...i want at least half of that refunded!"

"where's chad, couldnt he afford a plane ticket? i would've bought his ticket, pharrell"

none of them made sense but all of them made the filipinos in the crowd laugh. bascially, i was an obnoxious heckler. i was surprised pharrel didnt get one of his bouncers to take care of me. im surprised pharrell didnt come off stage and drop kick my ass. that wouldve been a highlight of the show. eventually, i think both by the look on pharrell's frustrated face and him actually explaining to the crowd, "sorry, chad couldnt be here - he's at home with his family" i came to realize that he was kinda pissed. i stopped.

there's my story. not well-written this time. sorry. also, it shouldve been filed in my lapulapu blog. oh well..there's a freebie for you. i'll let it slide.

the show was pretty good...but not one of my faves, unfortunately. i reserve those spots for the jamiroquai and quannum concerts. an artist should be able to do a good live show...including getting the crowd hyped, seem like theyre having a good time (regardless if im heckling them or not), crowd participation maintenance and at times...foot massages (?) and peacock feather cooling of their fans.

    those are fake funbags rite?
    AT THAT AGE?!!!!!!

cop pharrel's album (really, bootleg it).

back in the days when i was 8 or 9, i used to wake up extra early so i could kiss my mom goodbye before she was off to work her strenuous 12 hr nursing shifts at the hospital. those same shifts, for years, helped to pay the mortgage of this house, clothe us 3 boys who are now men and put food on the table.

this entry isnt about to get all sappy however.
during those early mornings, i would catch all sorts of t.v.

often, for some reason, i was drawn into paid programs for whatever idiotic product showcased at the time. there was the miracle blade where the guy cut a steel toed boot and then a tomato followed by his witty one liner, "you can even fillet the fillet". there was the juiceman (which we have in my house btw..i bought my mom this juicer for mother's day this year and it's da bomb, baby!), the bun and thigh master, a handful of get rich quick schemes and also motivational tony robbins videos to name a few.

i was exposed to all of this at that age.
the side effects? who knows? did it alter my brain chemistry during development?
    that might explain everything.

one product that sticks out in my head is the sandwich maker by a company that i forget. eventually, after that paid program aired, we bought it and enjoyed it for 2....3....84+ consecutive times until we got sick of it. like some of the other fad machines our family bought into, it entered the kitchen's graveyard where legendary appliances are placed in desolation only to be forgotten.

today, my mom is retired. this morning, my mom came home from her daily walk and fitness class with shopping bags in her hands. it was the usual; some toilet paper, hair brushes, baking tins and other household basics. one bag had a sandwich maker! i was quickly reminded of my childhood -- watching the paid ads early in the morning, eventually seeing the sandwich maker in my own house and enjoying whatever delicious recipe my mom could think of.

being the 'save money/save the environment' kind of guy i am, my immediate verbal reaction upon seeing the newly purchased sandwich maker was to tell my mom, "we don't need it. return it..we have one!"

"we do? where is it?" mom questioned.

after looking all over the kitchen graveyard i couldnt find a trace of the old sandwich maker. it wasn't even behind the old brita water filtered pitcher where i was positive it would be!

i wonder where it could be. was it stored in the garage due to lack of space? was it thrown out?

maybe, just maybe it was resurrected somehow.

realizing it was no longer with us, i took back my words and pleaded with my mom to keep her new sandwich maker.
this time, we won't let you go. i promise.

mmm i can already envision it.
i smell grilled cheese sandwiches for breakfast tomorrow.

sandwich makers - not just for trailerpark homes anymore; now for modern, contemporary suburbia and future young professionals alike.

i think it's that time of the year again...autumn. but not the good part of autumn; it's the cusp of autumn. the bad part right before those bitter cold canadian winters. yea, there's still sunshine but that doesn't excuse the fact that everything is dying away.
right about now is the time when i have have to switch gears and really get my learn-on. that means start reviewing for the finals a few weeks away and that also means getting down to work on those major assignments - basically the meat and potatoes of one of my classes. and the readings..don't even get me started on the readings.

i'm hesitant to use the word "depressing" to describe this time of the year but yea...it's all so drab right now.
how to cope? a little bit of exercise, some good music, sleep whenever time permits (face + drool in the book, included) and an assortment of fruit juices stocked in the fridge. antioxidants are nice; free-radicals ain't.

    back to the good music.
    my dungeon fam~outkast playlist.

rock 'n' roll could never ever hip hop like this

im more of a head. a hip hop head. i listen to some rock...i tolerate more, really. dont get me wrong..rock is cool. it really is.

my hip hop girl is soulful, down to earth and oh so fresh.
my rocker girl is potty-mouthed, rebellious, punked out and faux-hawked with an edge.

both are cool. i love them both.
with both, beautiful sandwiches can be made.

but why do i even have to make things in terms of polarized thought?
why do you have to be either, or?

i listen to some rock...tolerate more, really.
just a random thought as always because let it be known, without rock, hip hop would never be.

but to let you know what rock im interested in checking out rite now...y'all shove some screaming eagles into your ears.
    no vocals; instrumentals only.

because vocals today suck for the most part.
write the words "sunday morning" in your song and youre all of a sudden "deep". at least that's what the screaming eagles feel.

in both hip hop and rock worlds...at least in mine, there's one commonality -- the trend of me becoming more and more interested in the instrumentation and production/arrangement value of a song.
my tastes are becoming more and more complex.

y'all check out those effin a-holes called the screaming eagles.

p.s. i made a grown man cry today. yea, there's remorse. of course.

i have a good 7 or 9 hairs on my chest. that's certainly not the asian in me...maybe the spanish colonization?.....possibly.
anyhow, it's 3am and amongst the softcore movies, hotline ads and paid commercials, a good 'ol fashioned (canadian, mind you) b-movie is airing....

did i tell you about my love interest?
she's white. we go everywhere together...and her name is natasha.
sorry asian sisters, but im currently infatuated with one of those white girls.

i really hate to sound all mushy and corny, but i can't go a day without her.
what's more, i cant stop touching her.

we're talking about my ibook of course.

in my conversion into the apple community, i try and keep up to date with what's going on. in that attempt, i've come across a couple blogs:
  • the apple blog
in their latest post, they have a link on how to convert your ibook into a powerbook (more or less...minus that titanium exterior mind you. personally, i like natasha's ivory white flesh as is)

  • apple student blogs
a bunch of college students in north america take on academia's hurdles with the assistance of various apple products.
    fictitious? maybe.
    a marketing ploy? who knows.
whatever the case, i get caught up online reading this sorta crap. i really am all geeked out.

enjoy, apple lovers. once you go mac, you'll never go back.

but just don't go this far.

  • last night, my crew and i checked out the kanye west show downtown. when i first decided to buy these tickets, the roster included kanye, common, fantasia and
here's where i insert my disclaimer: i really paid for the show intending to see common -- kanye was just a bonus and i could really care less about the other two.

i should mention here that common dropped out of the tour before the tour even started. basically, you can't get a refund on your ticket unless a show is cancelled; in this case, however, it still went on...just minus one performer.

yes, it does suck donkeys for me.

the show was suprisingly good though. although me and my friend went to get beers during the opening acts, we made it back just in time for mr. west.

the crowd was a mixture of things - but mostly young kids. kanye did all the songs off his 'late registration' album and a couple from 'college dropout'. there's nothing more really to explain about your average "big lights and effects/stadium" concert, really. it was glorious. the sounds resonated through your chest. then again, maybe those feelings were mistaken for the rumbling in my belly between the double burger, kosher dog and beer i had earlier.

one thing i really liked about the concert was how kanye paid homage to every song he sampled before he actually performed. his live band and background vocalists belted out originals including chaka khan's "through the wire", in addition to a live dj rendition (all cut up and remixed) of curtis mayfield's "move on up". pretty slick, ye.

the highlight for me was when kanye had this little in between song monologue about hip hop. it was touching, really. he said something along the lines like "i don't make pop music. fuck pop music. i make real hip hop and force pop stations to play it. real quality music". thereafter, he called out to his 'real hip hop heads' out in the crowd. he paid homage to his inspirations while asking his dj to play brief samples of old school classics (naughty by nature's "uptown anthem", the pharcyde's "passing me by" and a tribe called quest's "check the rhime"). this is what really turned the concert around for me when all the lights and glitter weren't enough.

no doubt, i have a new perspective on mr. kanye west as an artist. previously, i only liked him for his production and beats. recently, i only became interested after the release of his latest album 'late registration'; but it was his live show that made me a believer.
the man can do a live show; a skeptic has been convinced.
although im gonna stick to the more intimate and small club concert environment from now on, i must give the touch the sky tour mad props. from his thumping beats to his dancing to his demanding of crowd participation, mr. west's is an 8/10.

"I ain't here to argue about his facial features
Or here to convert atheists into believa's
I'm just tryna say the way school need teachers
The way Kath-a-Le needed Regis, that's the way I need Jesus
So here go my single dawg radio needs this
They say you can rap-about-anything except for Jesus
That means guns, sex, lies, video tape
But if I talk about God my record won't get played, Huh?"

go: the brooke burke girl complex

common has this song "go" that illustrates the male mind through his lyrics. i can't speak on behalf of all males - whether single or coupled, but i do know that most dudes have the same quick, instantaneous, fantasies that common speaks of.

" She was a bad (uh), the type at the club n*ggaz would grab her
Fantasized when I had her, in the bathroom sweatin' with her ass up
The body of a dancer, we had chemistry cuz she was a Cancer
Thought forever it would last for, but forever move faster, so I had to (Go)
Still I gotta pause when I think about her in dem draws
And a ooh baby she liked it raw and like rain when she came it poured
And like a car that I can't afford I would want it then want some more
The positions our frames explored let me know she was secure, back for more I wanna
    Go"

    - common

taking you back 2 years ago...
y'all remember that bi-racial girl i had a thing for?
    the "brooke burke" girl?
    the young one?

the same one that i saw at the gym during my membership there.
the one i thought was half chinese and half caucasian of some sort?
    remember that one?
the same one we saw at the vietnamese restaurant by jp's house.
the same one that when we were driving and y'all asked me how she looks i said "brook burkeish" and then by shear coincidence, she just happened to be in the car next to us at the next intersection?

[she's like the great gazoo or polkaroo.]

    y'all remember that?
    y'all remember her?

well it turns out she's not half chinese, but rather half filipino.
and it turns out that she's a mere younger than we (22 years..not too young at all).
and it turns out that shes a friend of a friend of a friend (once of those third degree situations...friendster..not blackbelt).

well as stated above, i was snooping around and i found her on friendster.
and we both like the same books.
and i'd like to believe we have a lot more in common than we really do.
and i like to remember how our eyes locked on several occassions.
    this i remember vividly.

when it comes to girls im like an elephant...i never forget.

then i realized she's [said with tight lips] 'in a relationship'.

oh well. she goes to the university of toronto.
there are others...but this was a lost moment.

and a man can fantasize can't he?
just make sure the rest of you go easy on the vaseline, that's all.

    we would've been nice.

found these on some forum that had absolutely NOTHING to do with chuck norris or martial arts:

    1. Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.

    2. A man once asked Chuck Norris if his real name is "Charles". Chuck Norris did not respond, he simply stared at him until he exploded.

    3. Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard.

    4. Chuck Norris built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Chuck met all three bullets with his beard, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement.

    5. The original theme song to the Transformers was actually "Chuck Norris--more than meets the eye, Chuck Norris--robot in disguise," and starred Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger who defended the earth from drug-dealing Decepticons and could turn into a pick-up. This was far too much awesome for a single show, however, so it was divided.

    6. Chuck Norris was the fourth Wiseman. He brought baby Jesus the gift of "beard". Jesus wore it proudly to his dying day. The other Wisemen, jealous of Jesus' obvious gift favoritism, used their combined influence to have Chuck omitted from the Bible. Shortly after all three died of roundhouse kick related deaths.

    7. Chuck Norris once shot a German plane down with his finger, by yelling, "Bang!"

    8. When Chuck Norris plays Oregon Trail his family does not die from cholera or dysentery, but rather roundhouse kicks to the face. He also requires no wagon, since he carries the oxen, axels, and buffalo meat on his back. He always makes it to Oregon before you.

    9. Chuck Norris can make a woman climax by simply pointing at her and saying "booya".

    10. Before each filming of Walker: Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris is injected with five times the lethal dose of elephant tranquilzer. This is, of course, to limit his strength and mobility, in an attempt to lower the fatality rate of the actors he fights.

    11. Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.

    12. When Chuck Norris's wife burned the turkey one Thanksgiving, Chuck said, "Don't worry about it honey," and went into his backyard. He came back five minutes later with a live turkey, ate it whole, and when he threw it up a few seconds later it was fully cooked and came with cranberry sauce. When his wife asked him how he had done it, he gave her a roundhouse kick to the face and said, "Never question Chuck Norris."

    13. Chuck Norris took my virginity, and he will sure as hell take yours. If you're thinking to yourself, "That's impossible, I already lost my virginity.", then you are dead wrong.

    14. Chuck Norris once tried to sue Burger King after they refused to put razor wire in his Whopper Jr., insisting that that actually is "his" way.

    15. Chuck Norris can actually breath fire.

    16. Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs.

    in conclusion, you either:
    a) found that really funny because you find chuck norris as ridiculously entertaining as i do
    or
    b) couldnt care less about this pointless post

again?...sick? but i had it so good. i was doing so well. i was exercising and eating right. i was washing my hands the duration of "happy birthday" times two. i layered. i guess it wasn't enough. maybe it was because exams just let out last week and my immunity collapsed. that's my theory. then again, like my hischool kin teacher said, "theories are like assholes - we all have them and they're full of shit".. which makes a lot of sense.

i decided to bypass this morning's class. rest is much needed. will i go to my 230? probably not. i hate that class. anyhow, i got two new manga volumes of lone wolf and cub c/o my homie who caught a sale at the local comic store.
$2 each!! they really should be $14.95 as the crossed out sticker indicates.

i'll read those today..oh yea, and maybe, just maybe some homework.

one link i keep on forgetting to plug is magnetic: mos def news. this site is probably one of the most in-depth sites about mos def current events in the world (label or non-label related). mad props.

the other day, the folk over at the site added linkage to a recent performance by blackstar *yes..BOTH MOS AND KWELI. although the song is on talib's latest mixtape, i have heard several rumours that mos def and talib b.k.a. blackstar have been and are working on the new album.

the performance is hype. mad hype.

self discipline - i gotta get over

i made a late nite stop over at walmart just a few minutes ago. surprisingly, i bought nothing. yes, it did take some while and contemplation but in the end, i came out on top. the bright lights, the shiny labels, their strategically placed sale items; the whole nine.

let it be known, that the electronics section is a dangerzone for me. ditto for bestbuy, especially. couple that with being a pay week and you have the recipe for creating a man that's broke as a joke.

to get through all of it, i just keep telling myself that i have to pay for my backpacking trip after i graduate..must save..must save..must save (repeat).

ladies and gents, we almost had a crisis situation here.
    over and out.

holy crap! the neverending story is on the tv matinee. channel 7.

ive always had a soft spot for fantasy..magic...unicorns...monsters...dragons..swords...wizards...talking rocks and trees...women with big breasts in leather bikinis wielding heavy ass swords. all that good stuff.

***other noteable movies i love or would love to see:
  • conan
  • willow
  • the lion, the witch and the wardrobe (original british version and hollywood remake due out this Christmas)

***all based on small rectangular things called "books", mind you.

do you guys ever wonder why the name "gotmilkfart"? or what is a "milkfart"? i was asked that by a few intriguing folks on asianavenue when i used that moniker. last friday i, myself, was reminded during work.

dairy is hell. cheese is nice to me and so is yogurt. but milk from a cow (straight from the teets or pasteurized) is killer, simple and plain. i get a mild case of lactose intolerance. why? well go read up lactose intolerance for yourself because this ain't no medical journal.

i lack an enzyme (like most asians) that breaks down lactose sugar...and you thought i was mr. perfect. HA (have you even seen how i cut my toenails?).

anyhow, last week, i was hungry before work. we're usually stacked here with food but i wanted some crunch. i wanted cereal. however, there was a dilemma - NO SOY MILK left! the hungry idiot i am didnt hesitate to pour some of that white stuff from the bag (to americans/non-canucks, we get our milk in bags, not jugs). 6 hours later i was reminded of when i used to drink milk during highschool. back in the days, my stomach would be growling like a grizzly. my intestines would squeel like a mother sow!

and the feelings...oh man, the feelings. to imagine the amount of gas i experience from a mere 2 cups of milk, imagine someone stabbing your belly with a bicycle pump needle. then proceed to imagining the pump itself pumping your belly..MORE..MORE...and MORE...and even MORE. pressure builds up but you can't easlily just let one rip because you know it's gonna be amplified to the 'nth' degree; this is especially the case if youre at work and in a retail setting. God knows all the customers would probably run out of the store in terror if i let one go.

    but yea...that explains milkfart.
    'least it's not diarrhea.

asianboy69 or civic_lover_pinoy905 just didnt stick or make a ripple with me back in the days of AA.

    i miss you, aa.

dynamite tour '05: jamiroquai funkin' up toronto
me and rj have been talking about concerts that we wish we could see or are worth seeing. some of these concerts pulled through, while others just never materialized for us. a jamiroquai concert has been a long time coming. i told rj, "if you ever hear about tickets or them coming to t.o., then get tickets - i don't care what the price."

i love the band that much!

unfortunately, the news reached us a tad bit too late. tickets were sold out. however, rj went on the wonderful world wide web and bought some tickets through a middleman/scalper/whatever you wanna call them. the price was high and not to be discussed here.

although the cost was high, the show was well worth it by light years.

it started off around 8pm. a dj opened up the show hyping up the crowd with rare grooves, funk, soul, disco, jazz and hip hop. the crowd?...the crowd was gold. it was a mature crowd (obviously..who even knows jamiroquai nowadays?). there were girls..lots of girls. black girls, white girls, asian girls. girls! hippie girls. funky girls. dancing girls. there was beer. there was weed. there was fainting (on me!). the concert was just perfect. and that concert - the jamiroquai dynamite -'05 tour, surpassed all my expectations.

jay kay and the boys are coming back in the spring. im there. shout out to rj. thanks dude.
    pictures to come......(shortly?).

    the sony bean

    [magic bean]

basically sony's answer to the shuffle. i love sony..a lot. theyre superb with the audio and the battery life - two essential things i give a crap about. but sony, youre just not compatible with my ibook (greedy assholes at apple). i hope you don't mind if i have something "on the side" (in the event that i ever get an ipod).

i bow down to sony, though. whatever the case, sony is the king of portable audio - i just don't give a fuck.
although "old school" to most, im still infatuated with my minidisc player.

most of sony's latest portable technologies have users charging a batter for 3 minutes only to get 3 hours of playback! what a tradeoff. did i mention?...it's a 50hr playback life. werd.

if you're looking for an entry level mp3 player, i suggest this over the shuffle, most definitely.

    the warriors

    a cult classic.
basically, a gang from coney island has to fight their way back from the inner nyc against all the other gang members. why?...politics...deception...vengeance..and just in the good old spirit of going buckwild.
watch it...it's better viewed than described.

50 cent and the g-unit, brace yourself!!! the warriors will bum-rush you suckas. forget a clip.
