You need to git up, git out and git somethin
Don't let the days of your life pass by
You need to git up, git out and git somethin
Don't spend all your time tryin to get high
You need git up, git out and git somethin
How will you make it if you never even try
You need to git up, git out and git somethin
Cuz you and I got to do for you and I- outkast
i think it's that time of the year again...autumn. but not the good part of autumn; it's the cusp of autumn. the bad part right before those bitter cold canadian winters. yea, there's still sunshine but that doesn't excuse the fact that everything is dying away.
right about now is the time when i have have to switch gears and really get my learn-on. that means start reviewing for the finals a few weeks away and that also means getting down to work on those major assignments - basically the meat and potatoes of one of my classes. and the readings..don't even get me started on the readings.
i'm hesitant to use the word "depressing" to describe this time of the year but yea...it's all so drab right now.
how to cope? a little bit of exercise, some good music, sleep whenever time permits (face + drool in the book, included) and an assortment of fruit juices stocked in the fridge. antioxidants are nice; free-radicals ain't.
back to the good music.
my dungeon fam~outkast playlist. although from the 'dirt-eh south', they always come correct, laid back and silky with it.

[edit] actually, after listening to this...i'm starting to feel great already

afternoon edity'all head over to
colin's turf (ravenloft rocks) for not one post about
a great wrestler passing away...but for two: the previous mentioned and a great one about
the current state of hip hop.
the guy took the words right out of my
mouth brain!

music sure does make everything better!
i remember those few weeks before finals where the optimism of a new school year fades but the holiday cheer hasn't quite gotten into full swing. those weeks sucked. but good to know you're feelin' better.
thanks dude. welcome back...whered you go anyhow?
how's life in nyc anyhow???? ive visited..but hows living?
toronto is toronto..but nyc..well nyc..is...NYC!!!!!
no doubt!
well...nyc is the shit. that's already a given...any other city pales in comparison, then again, i was born and raised her for most of my life...so i'm biased. but where else are there clubs that close at 6 in in tha morn'; 24 hour chinese take-out joints; pakistanis, koreans, chinese, filipino, jewish and colombians living on one floor of an apartment building...
capital of the world...everything you see on tv and movies don't do it justice. the "city" is more than just manhattan. it's the 5 boroughs. subways and all...shit man...this world is my damn playground.
but sometimes a man's gotta get away from it all. i just flew back last night from a solid week of partying it up in the bay area out in cali. spent my time at filipino central aka daly city and surrounding areas.
