check all the links motherfuckers. no there are no easter eggs hiding, just check them out for your own good. it just might save your life.

++CQC (close quarter combat) with a crab
i haven't been on newgrounds in a minute, but through the serendipity effect and really, through a link of a link of a link of a link, i was able to come across this metal gear flash animation. i gotta say it's about as funny as watching a man with no arms trying to open a pop can...in other words it's not that funny, but if you thought im the type of guy to laugh at that kinda shit (ie the armless pop scenario) then you really have a low & inhumane perception of me. i did link that animation because it only has one of the greatest video games of our era - mgs. stupid, yes, but just another example of how flash animation in the wrong hands can really be abused. imagine if i knew flash? there would be a lot of cartoons with shit blowing up and lots of "pee-pees" and "wee-wees". we all know though, them shits wouldn't be wack.

++red meat and shit
and no, i aint talking about vaginas and some sick european porn genre involving shit on some guy's face.

what i am talking about is how to grill a big ol' slab of that artery clogging flesh we call cow. you want your steak "rare as rarity"?...then pinch your balls (girls pinch your nipples).

it'll make sense after watching this goodie. me personally, i like my cow's flesh rare - and when i say rare i mean "raaaaarrrrrrrrrre". i like to just have a live cow in the back, walk up to it, bite it in the neck and have the blood just spray everywhere. that's how we do in the philippine jungle when we're not eating berries and boiled tourists garnished with fresh coconut.

[gavin! i said pinch your balls, not the bull's balls]

***update (seconds later)**
ma bad, that link's about grilling burgers. when they actually archive the steak piece, imma enlighten you. but knowing about booger aint so bad. burger, too.

++it's a skitstrumental
i have my share of hip hop instrumental cds - both self-compilated and bought. pete rock is nice with his petestrumental series but when i heard prince paul of de la soul, the gravediggaz (remember them, anyone?)and handsome boy modelling school fame was coming out with a low-key instrumental album, i just had to add this little doozie to my collection. take a mentally retarded person with protective head gear (equipped with chin straps), put black skin on him, place him in the habitat of brooklyn, new york and you'll have the musical genius we call prince paul.

this brings me back to a time when hip hop was actually great..and fun, for that matter. sampling is gold.
only for the purists.

++charlie murphy!
i also bought this the other day to complement my season 1 dvd set.
yea, this is a no-brainer. i know for a fact a lot of geeked out chinese friends, white friends, and children that watch chappelle. yea, his humour is to the point and easily amusing. but there are a lot of little jokes and messages behind his jokes. my advice to y'all is to check out your rick james videos, listen to prince, get some black friends and smoke some crack.

then you'll really see the humour behind chappelle. and by the way, dont think he's some kinda stupid funny, big-lipped, flat-nosed black dude that exploits the afro-american experience - he's actually a brilliant motherfucker. spitkick and dont forget to do your research.

did y'all catch common on regis and kelly today? anyhow, i can already forsee it. it's gonna be one of those fridays where i go into work till closing and juice myself up with java. it'll be one of those days that i won't give a rat's ass about working because i'd rather be out in the sun or even swimming (damn how i wish i had a pool). it'll be one of those fridays where after work, i get home, and there's nuttin cracka-lackin for the night - which is cool, because imma probably have to get up for more work tomorrow morning..and the next..and the next.

if there is anything crack-a-lackin' then holla at me kids.
it's 11am and Quincy m.e. is on..thereafter, imma get my eat on and then my usual afternoon siesta.

but roses really smell like poo-poo-poooo

for real.

by the way, this cd is just too dope.
if youre 22 or older, you'll know why.

elsewhere in my world, it's a real and i mean real different story when your own ass becomes the case study. you can even flip that notion and say the case study became reality. after i took my ethics of kinesiology course, my ability to reason became sharper than a set of ginsu knives. that course exceeded my expectations by going through all things (well almost all things possible to the human experience) that a kinesiologist, whether involved in the biomedical, teaching, rehab or athletic aspects, might come across. one of the cases that we had a heated discussion on was surrounding the whole terry shiavo case. there were many positions taken by everyone in class. whether youre male or female, religious, athiest or agnostic you have your own conclusions based on what you were taught or experienced.

i have my own too. i mean, really, i have my own opinion regarding the whole 'remove the feeding tube/life support' dilemma. and let it be known for the record that what i believe is based on my own principles rather than fully on what the catholic church tells me to believe. if youre wondering, i think it's very wrong to let someone die if it's possible to prolong their life. you can come at me and refute me all you want, and thats cool, but i have my own opinion that im entitled to just like you are..so i'd respect it if you respected it.

bringing me back to this whole life support ethical dilemma - a friend of the family (which i consider family) recently had a serious health problem that affected their daily functioning. people might call these people a vegetable or 'brain dead' or even unable to function on their own, but i ask, who are you to say if a person's suffering or not? i mean when they took that feeding tube out of terry shiavo, she didnt exactly die a peaceful death. as a matter of fact, she died a slow death. in fact, she starved to death. how is that humane?

on the flipside, i can hardly imagine how hard coping is for this family friend's loved ones. in other words, im walking the line between choices concerning the whole life-support position that i stated earlier. im on the fence.

reading some measily case study and actually being the case study are two different things, no doubt.

in closing, i'd like to say for all the parents contemplating abortion, or families deciding whether or not to continue life support for their hospitalized loved ones, youre in my prayers.

y'all need to give common a listen.
he's the truth!

im currently on a listening spree consisting of all types of common in heavy rotation. these include:

[resurrection]

"I met this girl, when I was ten years old
And what I loved most she had so much soul
She was old school, when I was just a shorty
Never knew throughout my life she would be there for me
On the regular, not a church girl she was secular
Not about the money, no studs was mic checkin her
But I respected her, she hit me in the heart
A few new york niggaz, had did her in the park
But she was there for me, and I was there for her
Pull out a chair for her, turn on the air for her
And just cool out, cool out and listen to her
Sittin on a bone, wishin that I could do her
Eventually if it was meant to be, then it would be
Because we related, physically and mentally
And she was fun then, I’d be geeked when she’d come around
Slim was fresh yo, when she was underground
Original, pure untampered and down sister
Boy I tell ya, I miss her."
- i used to love h.e.r.

common sense (as he was known then) personifies hip hop as his first love.

[one day it'll all make sense]

"Turnin this woman's womb into a tomb
But she and I agree, a seed we don't need
You would've been much more than a mouth to feed
But someone, I woulda fed this information I read
to someone, my life for you I woulda had to leave
Instead I lead you to death
I'm sorry for takin your first breath, first step, and first cry
But I wasn't prepared mentally nor financially
Havin a child shouldn't have to bring out the man in me
Plus I wanted you to be raised within a family
I don't wanna, go through the drama of havin a baby's momma
Weekend visits and buyin J's ain't gon' make me a father
For a while bearing a child is somethin I never wanted to do
For me to live forever I can only do that through you"
-retrospect for life (feat. lauryn hill)

com comes to terms with a previous decision to have an abortion.

"Yo, if I’m a intellectual-al, I can’t be sexual?
(I don’t know, you wanna be sexual? ? )
If I want to uhh tah uhh does that mean I lack respect for you?
(I don’t know you tell me..)
Youse a grown man, why fuck that young girl, are you lustin?
(I might look twenty but I’m 15 - slow down girl)
If you got paper like that, then why you still hustlin?
(why you still hustlin? c’mon!)
Now you know yo’ stomach too big, to be wearin a shirt like that
(look at your stomach - ewww it’s sloppy)
So why, you want, to go and do that?"
- the questions (feat. mos def)

in fact, my early ripped version of be is so good, i might just have to buy the real thing now that it's out (plus its dvd).

also...top secret business...

[uncommonly nasty]

(that's nas & common. whoa.)

yea..i think it's safe to say he's currently my favourite m.c.

im gone.
listen actively!!
holla.

pass me the bullseye steak sauce please...that would go just lovely over this big pan fried entree of words that imma have to eat.

once again, i was wrong in my boxing forecast. peter lost. he just didnt work enough. maybe i was clouded over by this whole "he's ranked 3rd in the world". but now that i think of it, who's ranking that ranking? he's a good fighter, but he just didnt come through. as for sergio mora, the winner of the 7 round contender bout of last night, i tip my hat off to him. although i hate him and his unorthodox fighting technique, i cant deny that he's a good fighter.

fuck.

there sergio..go take your million dollars and build yourself an east l.a. mansion. you earned it...you latin snake (not to be confused with my one-eyed yogurt-spitting snake)!

[i was gonna post a pic of sergio mora the champion
but who wants to see his ugly mug when you can look at this delicious sight?]

[please dont hurt me brooke..actually, please hurt me]

p.s. did anyone catch my wife brooke burke de los reyes in the crowd last night?
after so many years, she still gets my juices flowing (literally...can't you hear the sounds of tsunami in my nether regions?)

temperature's rising.

so tonight is the 2 hour finale of the contender. imma have to go with peter manfredo as victor-supreme in this one. i think he's lb for lb the best fighter. and besides as far as im concerned, the semi final bout two weeks ago between peter and alfonso should've been the final...so whoever peter fights (in this case sergio) is of no concern to me 'cause i know peter will give him a good beating. but hey..anything can happen in boxing, so y'all go peep the live main event tonight at 8pm on nbc.

me personally, i have a previous committment to hit the gym...where my own contender mentality shall kick in. i hope my designated taper comes thru (rj, this means you).

here's my workout in the meantime.
no bullshit. no posing. no posturing. no social tea parties at the gym...just intensity.

[remember this oh so homoerotic scene in rocky III?]

read it and weap:

  • 1 mile run

    - swiss ball leg raises

  • may 2-4

in canada we have this long weekend (which is concluding in t-4 hours) that we call victoria day. victoria day a.k.a. "may 2-4" (as in either the week of may 24th of '2-4' as in a case of 24 bottles of beer) usually signals the beginning of summer. it's a 3 day weekend where monday is observed by having all the stores, post offices and gov't services shut down. of course, as you all know, chinese people never close shop - which is why i tip my hat off to them; where others, including the whites, blacks and even us filipinos relish statutory holidays or any time off where pay is given, the chinese work their asses off to feed their kids. one example of this is how i took my mom grocery shopping this morning. i must say, asians are not excluded from being idiots. asians are not special (myself included.) i mean, who else would choose to go grocery shopping in an asian supermarket - knowing damn well all other non-asian markets are closed for the day? who?!! my mom and myself, that's who..yea us and about 300 other asians spanning from koreans, vietnamese, chinese, indians and others. all to do our shopping.

[violence erupted as beef tripe went on sale for 1/2 price today]

what is the reasoning behind it all?..i shall never know. maybe we all thought that nobody else would be doing their shopping; maybe everyone is supposed to be up in their cottage for the weekend or even camping; maybe everyone drove south towards buffalo. whatever the case, my advice to anyone visiting an asian market on a holiday is to not visit an asian market on a holiday.

leave your asses at home and sleep.

does anyone remember the l.a. riots that were happening during the rodney king trial of the '90s? the looting, the fires, the choppers, the national guard? well that's how it was in there! was there free meat being given away at the butcher's counter? who knows? i'll never know 'cause my mom and me weren't crazy enough to stick around and order our 1/2lb of ground beef - there were more important things at stake..like the well-being of our lives or even the risk of having one of our appendages being severed off from oncoming shopping carts. leave your asses at home.
    __________

    check
seeing that it's now unofficially summer, i usually give myself some objectives or checklists. here's a checklist of things to do:

  • [jun 8] canada's wonderland
  • shopping (i need to cop some new shoes, shorts and shades)
  • get a full-time career-related job [asap]
  • make tuition for next term and beyond
  • attempt to plan out my 2006 post-graduation travelling
  • purchase my lap top
  • can-fit pro certification (im already a certified coach; y not?)
  • volunteer (both clinical and community work)
  • road trip (montreal? virginia?)
  • camping x 2 (concluding july and concluding august)
  • bbqs (one of which was last night at colin's bday)
  • leisure days (where we just lounge and stroll downtown)
  • fitness (attn. to more running, boxing and core work)
  • drinks and appetizers
  • clubs (off and on..'cause frankly, i think we're exiting this whole scene)
  • video game nights (sports games, army strategies, racing, and just plain old fashioned killing)
  • concerts
  • movies (or 'films' as you distinguished & artsy snots like to call them)
  • house parties

now those were "to-do's"; will they be done?..that's a whole 'nother question. peace out. i shall read some bookage while fireworks sound off in the background and my dog becomes scared to death by their sounds.

im even shying away from blends.

so last nite i almost had a heart attack. for a minute there i thought it was all a message from God. i thought i wasnt gonna be able to come online for at least a month - being a time which id probably have my new computer on hand. i admit, i happened to stumble across some pornography on the internet last nite and by bad fate, my computer shut down. at first i thought it was just my foot hitting the jungle of wires underneath my desk. i tried the alternate port in my shitty powerbar but still no luck - my computer would not turn on. i even switched ports with my modem plug, yet still no luck. i even rubbed my crotch against the computer...but i still couldnt turn it on. i gave up.

today i even told my coworkers my soon to be legendary story about how my computer shut down/committed suicide/God's message to stop viewing profanity. when i came home, voila, my computer was up and running again. somehow, my older brother got the thing to work. nice. shoot, i thought all my mp3s and digital photos of my poo were lost forever. boy, am i ever grateful for being wrong about those. for now, imma back up my files and store them online somewhere..and for now, im actually considering (seriously) that alternative to the dell inspiron 700m (which my brother recently purchased) with this pupppy...my brother, mr. ibm himself suggested it. y'all check it out and let me know what you think.

    [ibm thinkpad x series]

    orrrrr, as recently stated...

    [dell inspiron 700m]

    [pimped out with the chrome
    weighing in at 4lbs]

im off to accidently stumble on some profanity and maybe even download s'more music..illegal stylee.

p.s. i dunno how my computer got onto those adult sites; someone mustve hacked me...when i find out who you are, youre gonna have hell to pay, pal!!

can we say bbq on the freeway, children?!
so two days ago, there was this big craze on the news about how this big rig flipped on its side. but whats so special about that, you might ask? well the trailer was carrying $80 000+ worth of beer. and you all know how much us canadians love our beer. anyhow, one news report did some kind of pointless calculation and exclaimed that the damaged cases involved would have been enough beer for a lifetime. let's say you were to drink on average, 12 bottles of beer a week. well, if that were the case, then you'd be able to drink beer for 84 years! unfortunately, canadian (a beer company) wrote off the whole delivery, so nobody got their fat sausage fingers on those puppies, not even passer-bys on the highway.

in relation, today, another big rig flipped over on the highway here in toronto. this time, it was carrying meat. now you put those two variables together: you got beer and meat...aside from cursing the crazy drivers who actually initiate these accidents, you, like me are probably thinking bbq! yes, summertime bbq on the highway.
wouldnt that have been a great solution to the two accidents? i dont mind eating dirty meat and filthy beer off the ashphalt; not if it's free. hell naw!

for once i thought we were gonna get big. real big. for once i thought we were gonna have a world class stadium, the first of its kind in canada..right there on campus. for a minute, i thought we were gonna be the centre of canadian sport. and as a result of all of that hoopla, for once i thought the york u kinesiology program would have nothing to do but benefit from it all.
dont get me wrong, i still love our program..it still is one of the best in the world. but fuck, i thought we had the chance to become extraordinary.

i shouldnt even blame york. i shall change that statement to

    fuck the argos

    God bless me.

a co-worker explained to me, after i had done it, that sneezing 3x in a row means someone loves you. i guess therefore, in that case, someone loved me.

recently, because of these gatdamn allergies of mine, i sneezed a total of 6 or 7 consecutive sneezes. now what the heck is 6 supposed to mean? someone out there lusts me? someone out there, as you read this, is masturbating to images of me?

    is that what 6 means?

    im touched...and very flattered.

what's with us? im mean im not gonna say im special 'cause i dont stare at girls' asses and tits, 'cause that's definitely not the case. excuse my french in that last sentence by the way, but im never one (when spontaneously blogging) to use the words "boobies", "glutes", or "love canal"...im just being real with you here. i just find it hilarious to see other guys staring.
at least when i stare, i try and be as covert as i possibly can. im like a ninja or sniper in a forest with mud and leaves covering any hint of my presence. there's a definite line between oogling and admiring from a distance.

take my job for instance. i work retail in a pretty decent store. sometimes, women want my opinion and i give them that opinion - honestly and respectfully. eventhough sometimes, asses are out there in the open and eventhough some customers think that a fitting room is the garden of eden here where everyone can prance around with aureolas liberated and cracks and crevices deeper than the grand canyon, i try my very best, yes, my very damn best to keep a serious and straight face. this not only reflects my upbringing, but also prevents me from making some retarded remark that'll surely land my ass in the slammer in addition to a spiked heeled mule-kick to the scrotum sack.

on the other hand, when there's downtime, i find myself just staring into the mall hallway as fine looking females pass by; hell naw, that doesnt make me a perv, because again, i ain't oogling. rather, i'm just looking over the menu and checking out the specials. here comes the funny part, whenever i see what i feel is worthy of visual attention from the deep carnal desires & loins of a hot blooded young man (such as me), i also take it upon myself to look around for other guys who might be sharing this same interest. today was the best, and even a fellow co-worker caught this. we saw some young girl, probably 18 or 19 dressed pretty provocatively; the camera's lens, basically the perspective of my eyes and my fellow male coworker's eyes were then cued to the face of some hum-drum stranger in the mall with his two young kids. i swear to you this guy's face was priceless! i couldnt really put a label on what you call that face, as he pratically burned a hole through that young girl's pants; my coworker did however...it's called the "neanderthal". something like this...

    "[grunt]..rock..[grunt]..rock. hard."

i mean his face was so basic; so primitive.

he was just staring at this girl.

i know sometimes, i, too, get caught staring but damn, i hope it's not on that level. for a minute there i saw his face...my vision delved deeper into his cranium and i swear to you, i saw this schematic of two gears winding, sorta like the wheels and cogs of a clock. when i looked deeper into what was in this guy's head, beyond the clockwork and beyond the springs, i saw a peanut; yes, a peanut. the peanut was unshelled, golden and unsalted.

it was all just so basic.
