some filipina woman came into the store yesterday. i was working "boys" by the way. obviously, due to our similar brown skin and flat-nosed features she was drawn to me and i was drawn to her in order to assist her Christmas shopping needs. now im a nice sales associate. i dont gotta be, but i am. shoot, we all know my store doesn't evolve on workers doin their thang on a commision basis. if that were the case, then the whole store would be filled with "sharks" wearing red shirts and chasing your butt around trying every possible way to convince you of purchasing a frost free-parka for 60 bucks or even a rubber dog bone (when you dont even have a dog! - things like that).

moving baaaaaack.....

im nice with it. i was helping her. she chose some stuff she wanted to cop.
all good rite?
wrong. she then asks me if she could use my employee discount to purchase her goodies.
i smirked and simply said, "NO".
what i was really thinking was, "are you fucking kidding me? just because..."

i'll end it there.

in the news there was a party at a local hall. it consisted of teenagers. it was a dj competition. now i didn't see the visual aspect of the news, i was just in the kitchen eating while the tv was blurting from the living room...

all of a sudden, i hear something along the lines of, "shooting...police arrived - witnesses walked away...teenage male dead...suspect is asian/filipino."

things like that strike me harder when it's on the personal level.
to the suspect, i say...thanks a lot bub.
then again, he's probably one of those thugs on asianavenue. what are the chances that he'd even swing by here anyhow?

back to work yesterday, there were about 4 missing kids. where i make chedda, we call that a "code adam" on the walkie-talkie (i think they need a "code jason" for when i should take my breaks and lunches).

well on the walkie, with about an hour left to go on my shift, i hear, "lost child found...mother missing...asian with black jacket...possibly filipino. i repeat, filipino woman with a black jacket. keep your eyes open. we have her child here by the adult entrance".

ahhh yes, filipinos.
good or bad...this is my exposure.
thankfully, the family was reunited seconds later.

g'day.
