[farm land]

friday
  • delayed departure and quick double rear-tire change on jp's civic
we still made good time and it made the trip and arrival all the more enjoyable and worthwhile. shoot...just when you think everything's gravy, shit hits the fan. but it's ok though...changing those rubbers on the civic was enjoyed.
  • momma bird has reached her nest
far from home (a 3hr tour..a 3hr tour), we arrived at point farms, roughly around 10pm. everyone was enjoying their dinner when we made our late entrance..but really, not that late.
here, was the genesis of what was to be one of the greatest weekends in all of my 22 year history. shoot, i swear i saw a ghost while eating...i shit you not! and even gina saw too! then again..maybe i was just tripping.
  • a toast to friends
partying till the early hours of the morning is always good. this requires no explanation - use your imagination, kids. oh yeah..and i should mention, mr. party animal almost died.....isn't that great? and btw francis, if youre reading this..if anyone in the future is holding you up to piss..NO, im sure theyre not gonna look at your dick...im absolutely positive they won't. there's no need to explicitly state that.

    [the beach]

    saturday
  • morning shower
considering the nite before had us all crash before freshening up, this morning shower was much enjoyed by all who partook. btw, if youre thinking we took a group shower, youre terribly mistaken - these are private stalls, thank you very much. we like to have shame whenever necessary.
  • went into town to buy some essentials and grocery
yeah yeah yeah...this doesnt sound like real camping..and youre probably right in thinking so - it wasnt. what'd u expect?..for me to kill a chipmunk and roast that shit? but back to the shopping...as i stated before, we were the only visible minorities for 200 miles in all directions. as you can imagine, we got the average welcome that any group of dark-ass filipinos would get in any boonieville walmart or zehr's grocer - it's like they saw ghosts or were watching a real-life movie. for a minute there, i felt like doing some kung-fu or something all in attempt to woo the crowd (then again, i dont know any kung fu..nor did i have my mandarin collar shirt handy).
  • choreographing a dance performance
to the song 'Poison' by bel biv devoe. i dont mean to brag boys, but we are THE shit. we are also a bunch of old skoolers with vivid imaginations who never get bored.

  • a stellar brunch
consisting of flapjacks and of course...the ever-popular spam! crispy on the outside; juicy on the inside. ahhh yeah. heaven. oh yea..and who else could forget..san miguel beers to wash them down too! so early!!! only at camping baby, only at camping.
  • tossed around the frisbee
wait a sec?...what frisbee?...we used the tin lid of my citronella candel. now that's 3M innovations, yall!
rj, anytime youre up for some 'strike the disc out of mid-air with your limbs' competition, im your man.
  • beach
i cant even put this place into words. cleaner-than-you'd-think-coming-from-ontario-water...perfect temperature and the big bright golden sun along with my ghettoblaster pumping out the tunes...who could ask for more? btw, why were we asked to be 'impartial judges' for a sand castle competition?? is it the brown-skin thing again? hmm???
  • dinner
by MOMMA GRACIE! of course..chicken, mashed up taters, gravy, dinner rolls and corn! theres my fiber baby! brilliant meal by camping standards. [cue my italian voice]"why you'a no eat?..eh?...you no-a like-a momma gracie's cooking?? whassamada for you?!!"
  • sundown
back to the beach for sun-gazing, pictures..goofy ones, i gotta add (if i can get a copy of those, ill post those a.s.a.p.), jokes all around and just plain 'ol relaxing with good company. WOOOOOOOOOOSH - thats the sound of the waves crashing remade by me - not, i repeat, not the sweet sounds of a toilet.
  • partying again
being that it was hometime the next morning, all rations of food, alcohol and whatever the hell had to be disposed of was..well...disposed of (meaning used. waste not, want not). too bad we all crashed early tho. then again, no, it wasnt too bad, that was probably the best sleep ive had in a while. 8 hours! in a tent! on the ground!! wow.

    [camera?..durrr whats that?]

[proud tenter: behind us - the mckinnely solstice III baby!! grand total of 10mins to set that mutha up]

[candids are the shiznit, im telling you]

    "ok there, stud"

    sunday
  • pack up
exactly what the heading says. duh.
oh yeah..along with some last goodbyes and pictures...and morning dumps and brushing.
  • KING'S BUFFET
we looked..and looked..for chinese buffets. we were halfway home before we realized that king's buffet was a real, tangible place and not just a myth or illusion that we believed we saw during our trip to the camping weekend. the only asians at the buffet, we were very welcomed by the chinese-owners and servers. props to them...they even got me a personal bowl of steamed rice fresh from the kitchen, being that everybody in that town eats fried rice (retirees..go figure). absolutely the perfect ending to a perfect weekend. and for fuck's sake...at $8.99 for that many items...in that clean-of-an-establishment. superb.
  • home

  • home sweet home. then again...mixed feelings..i didnt have enough of that weekend. so yeah..booooooo. [exeunt & crashed].

[we passed by dragon king chinese buffet. but it was closed. we later arrived at something more pleasing....KING'S BUFFET!!]
